After browsing our website, we hope you gain a flavour of the wonderful energy and spirit that exists at our school. We value the importance of community to support learning and bring out the absolute best in each and every student.
We give real value to our children, so that they will enjoy a feeling of security, a sense of belonging and will develop a belief in their own worth. In a small school there are more opportunities for the development of leadership and participation in school life. Our class sizes mean each child is given personal attention: the children are treated as individuals and there is no attempt to mould them into a pattern. Our unique Keystones Approach focuses on the individual and unlocks talent and personal qualities.
We believe firmly that every boy and girl has something valuable to offer and it is that unique gift in every child, which should be nurtured. This is reinforced by King’s culture of parental involvement that encourages school and home to work and act together.
The special role in which the Cathedral plays in the day-to-day life of our school brings a spiritual awareness to our pupils, and is unique to a King’s Gloucester education.
We are delighted to be able to share a selection of comments from parents - past and present about their experiences of King’s…
Thank you for running a school where my child has the chance to have these experiences and where he is nurtured, taught, cared for and encouraged by such incredible staff.Mrs M Bird, Parent
The King's School has been priceless. During my deployment to Afghanistan the staff were outstanding and unwavering in their support of both our children. This support does not have a price or value; it simply cannot be quantified and is not included in fees or as part of a prospectus. It gave me strength and peace of mind whilst amongst the chaos of war to know my children and family were well catered for. We, as a family, are eternally grateful. I would unreservedly recommend the school to anyone looking to join.

It is as if something extraordinary is happening at school. Possibly, because my daughter feels so utterly cared for and valued by the staff and others, as a person and as a student, this is helping her feel so much more settled in herself. She is able to look outside herself more and observe others' needs and the wider world, as well as to notice and believe in her own aspirations. I think that because she has the support, encouragement, opportunity and expectation of the school she is able to do something with her observations and aspirations and is actually taking the opportunities to do so.

After his first day at King's Junior School, William greeted us with a huge smile. We knew straight away that we had made the right choice. King's has offered William a caring and stimulating environment, where he is happy and making real progress. At the School traditional values are embraced and new ones are promoted. His smile says it all!
