Kindergarten provides a wonderful introduction to school life, and our very youngest children soon begin to absorb the values for which the King’s Junior School is renowned.
We celebrate the individuality of the children in our care and help them to develop their gifts and enthusiasms. At the same time we provide a sound moral framework to guide them in their interactions with others and give dependable pastoral support to reassure them as they find their way in the exciting new world of school.
Kindergarten offers many benefits. Located in Little King’s, next to the main Junior School, the environment is secure and purpose-designed for early years children. It has dedicated art and craft facilities and plenty of areas for play.
In common with the whole of King’s we have an excellent pupil to teacher ratio, enabling us to give tailored support to children according to their individual needs. The curriculum is carefully structured to balance learning with fun, and we have specialist teachers for Drama, Dance, Music and PE, ensuring that children get the best possible introduction to these subjects.
Classroom activities are enriched with educational field trips, the annual Little King's Sports Day, and many performance opportunities, including the Nativity Play held in the Cathedral.
We do everything we can to assist our busy parents. There is a thriving Breakfast Club, children have a healthy lunch cooked on-site every day, and we offer an optional After Care facility from 3:30pm - 6:00pm. We also run a Holiday Club for 50 weeks of the year.
